I have made this pattern many times: as a maxi (the peacock ITY and the blue & green knit) and also as a midi (black and cream) which is the one featured in the video. The reason for the midi length is because I find the maxi ankle length a bit risky when going up & down stairs. I think the midi will be a more practical length for me. There is also no reason why you could not make it knee length or mini if you prefer that.
